Alright I have had this MSC sitting in my closet for about 8 months now. I have decided to hook it up in my basement to control the theatre. I also wanted to intergrate it with my Home Automation Inc. OmniIIe panel so I can control my UPB lighting.
Questions
1- where is the cd that its suppose to come with?
2- Anyone know the pin out configuration for the omni panel to the msc400
3- How do i create buttons in the msc400.

I have done two other msc400's but they were only used for their IR emitters and voltage sensors. I did all the macros in the msc and only had the devices in the remotes so i understand all that stuff.

Thanks
Thanks

If you did ALL this stated above, how in the world are you asking this:

If you created macros inside the MSC-400, technically you created "buttons" inside the MSC-400 to trigger functions
You win some, you loose some...

Becuase I did them back in april so i can't remember and even when i look back at the files I can't make out what i did. I have smart macros (eg. power group, input toggles etc.).

To be more specific about creating buttons in the MSC if i inputted ascii codes and stored saved them, how do i actually link that particular command to a button on the remote.
I can't remember so if you dont mind helping as oppose to accusing me of lying or attempting to discredit me
Thank

1) The OmnieII has a few serial ports, no idea as to the pin outs, but I would check the manual.

2) I don't recall there being a cd. Get the software from your dealer or goto the URC website and request the consumer version of the software.

3) Serial controll in the MSC dis done via smartmacros. You define the rs-232 string you want to send and then convert it to a smart macro. As to putting the smart macro on your remote. From within the remote editor you goto the universal browser and open the msc-400 file. The smart macros can then be dragged to the macro editor and assigned to a key.

If you don't have the software, get it from URC. There is some on-line training on their site as well, not sure if you need an installer log in, can't remember.
