Does anyone have the codes for the HR20-700 learned to an MX file? If so, would you be kind enough to e-mail a copy to me?

Thank you,
Damon DG

I've got an MXA file I'll send you. There's also a full list of hex codes and a Pronto PCF file available from one of the satellite forums, but I haven't converted them all yet.

There are two codes for the Play, FF, REW, replay, and 30 sec slip buttons. If you pick the right one it will support the 3sec hold down functions that the OEM remote does.

Is there a discreet code for toggling Dolby Digital on and off?

I'm doing a custom install for a 2-zone house with a Denon 4306. The 4306's second zone can handle PCM, but it can't handle DD. Seems like being able to toggle the DD off when the HR20 feeds the second zone is the best way to go. Macros on the MX-850 won't work, as the MENU feature is context sensitive, so depending on what's being displayed, the sequence will be different.

BTW, I'd also like to get the codes for the 3sec hold-downs. I started with the H20 codes from the IR database, but not everything's there for the HR20.

TIA!

Damn... now that is grasping. I have no idea if it has a code like that. Why not just lleave the thing in DD and use the analog outs to the second zone?

There's a CCF file with all the HR20 codes in it, in this thread.

The 4806 will output analog audio through the second zone. Add an analog audio to the cable between the DSS Receiver and the Denon. Then you can output digital on the main zone while simultaneously output analog on zone 2. Now you don't have to toggle DD of and on. Works great.

I am going to reprogram a clients MX850 system to add this new box in. Is there anything special I should be aware of?

Special features?

Issues?

Database availability? (I guess I could just check that)

Thanks in advance!

What I said earlier, plus note that the IR overloads easily.

It has discrete on and off, but there's not really a major reason to turn it off unless you're using an automatic switch that'd like to see the audio/video go away or you just want some of the lights on the front to turn off.

It has a native output mode but it switches very slowly. I use it so I can take advantage of the wide zoom mode of my TV when recieving non-HD material. If the slow channel switching is unacceptable to the customer, then probably the best thing to tell the customer is to just watch 4:3 stuff with panels on the side. Switching the resolution on the fly is toggle only and it also flips through 3 variations of stretch/zoom/full for each resolution. You can disable resolutions they don't intend to use.

If you want to be nice you can make a macro for getting to the TODO list since this requires 2 keys.

I am trying to program an MX-850 for the H20. I have not found a code. Has anyone found one or does one need to learn all of the keys?

The codes are the same as the R-15 DVR.

Not quite the same, there are two codes for the press hold functions, and the ones in the data base are not the ones that work.
