The Logitech adapter is primarily sensitive to code speed. The IR format used by Logitech is very rare, and does not have good "cross compatibility" between different remotes - they all play it back at slightly different speeds, even using the exact same codes with the same model family. The adapter ranges from no response to very slow to overly fast command sensing, depending on whether you're giving it codes that are SLIGHTLY slower or SLIGHTLY faster than it's looking for.
I emphasise SLIGHTLY as the differences shown between codes that work and those that don't is microscopic and, with any other code format, would be considered absolutely identical.
Honestly - give up on using the Harmony adapter. There's no reason to use it with any remote but a Harmony (and remember - it is not sold to be used with any remote but a Harmony). There are cheaper and more feature filled adapters that all use standard Sony DVD player codes, which are zero problem for any universal remote.
