Just curious to how some of you get around TV's that don't have discrete power, need delays between powering on and sending inputs, and delays based on power without the use of power sensors?

We are controlling some equpment that does not have discrete power, but worse needs a delay based on power with a Q50- what are some of the creative ways to work around this since power sensors cannot be run to the TV in this case? Just curious to see what others do when a run can't be made.
