I know this is not something you want to hear, but you should really go to a dealer. You got the remote for free, why not be thankful for that much and get the remote professionaly programmed? This is supposed to be a protected line, and $40, $400, $4000 is not a good trade-off for dealer margin.
The price makes no difference to me, Im not just out to save a buck I love doing this stuff by myself..... If thats a crime then commit me, I thought that was the purpose of forums like this one was to help the DIY guy. Got the problem solved though!!!
