Give them the updatable software I downloaded from where? URC's policy is to get the software from the authorized dealer that sold the remote, but as previously stated, some authorized dealers (the bigger ones it seems), don't/won't include the live updating s/w. "Don't buy from them" should not be the answer. And regardless of dealer status, URC should support the end user, who is, after all, the SOLE REASON that URC is in business today. Installers can justify a higher price because they are doing the programming, so what's the beef with do-it-yourselfers paying less and doing their own programming? Regardless of what some would have us believe, it's not that difficult.
