Thanks ckelly33 for the posts. I got things working. The IR543 does have a wheel on the top right that you can use to change the house code example A,B,C...the Nevo will simply send the module code 1,2,3,4 and function on,off,dim... and doesn't care what the house code is.
Steps as you described with some added detail:
Using Nevo Studio -add device (Home Automation/X10) -Created pages/buttons as neccessary -Add actions to your buttons: example to turn on my living room lamp, 2 being the lamp module Send IR (2) X10 IR543 Send IR (Power On) X10 IR543
