The volume UP limiter is embedded into the firmware update, probably the update before last. Yes, if you haven't updated the firmware:
In NevoStudio - Tools menu - Go to Nevo Device Utility update and it will tell you if you need the firmware update.
Actually, Perry Brill is quite correct with the beep. Adding a beep to a button, actually turns the command into a macro and will not repeat. For more detailed info on this, see my recent post about repeating solutions.
