I still fail to see how you can write macros when you
don't know the state of what you are trying to control.
I await to be proven wrong (hopefully).

The best way to program this situation is with a question and answer. For example ask the user what state something is in then base the macro on the answer (seperate Y/N buttons.
I don't like doing this, but it works well with Pronto. Even with variables/tracking it comes in handy. For example, if you put a CD in BEFORE you hit 'play CD' it will try to power on (if it's a toggle) even though it's on already and power off. Most SONY cd players have toggle power. By asking "Did you power on the device by putting a CD in? " will work much better than telling eveyrone in the house to power up first.
