Droo: I think you are missing the point. There is no sense in doing work if someone has already done it (why re-invent the wheel is the expression, I believe). Just like everyone here posts files and configurations for others to share so that we can expedite the work and all make more money. And if you read my earlier post, you would see that I cannot actually see any benefit to using 1-way IR and therefore cannot justify the time to play with it. However, if someone had some code that I could review, maybe I would have an epiphony on why 1-way Serial is worth the time.

And as far as an understanding of basic serial commands, I ran a serial based bulletin board system with over 256 attached serial modems for many years, coded by yours truly. I believe that qualifies me with a basic understanding of serial based commands.
