many manufacturers have strict rules about ebay/internet selling. some spend more time going after the people selling their product on ebay than others.

the reason it is against the rules to sell a Nevo remote online, is so the pricing of the remotes stays consistent. these remotes are intended to be a money maker for dealers, not just another Harmony remote that can be bought anywhere really cheap with very little markup. I think it is a good thing that Nevo stands behind their dealers and follows their warranty rules to the letter.

I'm sure if Nevo found out that one of their dealers was selling product on ebay, they would no longer be a dealer. Companies like Nevo realize that they need a strong dealer network to survive. If they didnt have these policies in place, then it wouldnt be worth it for the dealer to carry the Nevo product.
