I have practiced learning IR codes both directly through the Pronto itself and also through the PPENG software. I find that both seem to work (though I experience many more failed learns through PPENG), but I am not sure if I am getting what are called "dirty" learns or what, because every time I learn through PPENG, the listing of the HEX code is different. I try each several times to get consistent numbers, but never do. The batteries in OEM remote are new (changed for this task), BTW. Any recommendations for going about this? I was going to learn EVERY button regardless of whether it was in the built in database or not, but I may consider using everything from those that works and only learn what I need to. I am not sure what to do here...
