I too am having problems with The TSu3000 and virtual pc 6.0.1
I am unable to connect to the remote however I found a way to prevent the enabled remote in pc settings form being unchecked.

Heres what to do; plug the prontong into your usb port start virtual pc and check the pronto- close the dialog box then start your pc and launch PENG- if you check the settings you will see that it will still show 1 device enabled- I still wasn't able to upload or download but I thought is was a step in the right direction.

If anyone can come up with a workaround for virtual pc I would be very greatful
