Hi All,

I've had my RU950 for about 4 years and am now experiencing the same problems as everyone else! It started with the screen losing calibration and I had to press to the right of each button to get it to work. I looked at this thread and opened up my unit to see if the ribbon cable was still attached. It looked o.k. but pushed on the four contacts anyway just to be sure - didn't penetrate the ribbon material though. Reassembled the unit and the same problem persisted. I went away for a few days and have just been told by the wife that the screen has completely frozen now and won't work.

I've contacted Philips in the UK about a repair but this will cost a minimum of £90 plus delivery! They appeared to know nothing about the problem!

I'd like to try and fix the unit myself and will open it up again.

Has anyone successfully had theirs repaired by Philips, and if so, what did it cost?
