Had the same problem with my 3000 after nearly three years of faultless operation. Thankfully, I was still under a repair/replace warranty. The salesperson I dealt with (and always deal with) took the old unit (which originally froze after a week of no use and then couldn't calibrate) back and replaced with an MX-900 which I can say is worlds better than the Pronto. Extremely good software, easy to program and a very responsive remote that zips through macros quickly. Wouldn't ever go back to a Philips remote after seeing how much better the MX-900 is in all-around customization and performance and I don't miss the touch screen as much as I thought I would.
