Lol.. just caught what you were getting at. In that instance I would agree. But not as solid as a IR jack, or RS-232, or blaster for that matter. Hell... even an emitter bug could still have a chance to work if the glue let go. The wire needs to be in contact to function. The sticker only needs to bubble...
I'll repeat... to date, the best work around I know of.
