What happened to your sister with the lens cleaner drops also happened to my good friend. After he healed up, some other friends and I were kidding him about it (yeah I know... we're all ruthless jackasses).
We came to the conclusion that all lens cleaner drops should be in a distinctively shaped bottle with HUGE letters that you can read with bad eyes even if your lenses are out.

We have a way of coming up with ideas that we think are just ultra-obvious product improvements that any thinking person would agree with, but usually they don't make as much sense the next morning.

This is one that I think holds up pretty well as an obvious good idea.
