Here's another quick one but not about eating hot peppers.
My sister was cutting up some potent jalepenos for chilli. She was doing this in the winter and she had terribly dry and cracked skin from the dry weather in Chicago. Ten minutes after she started the burn set in so bad that she was crying in agony. She even called a doctor at the hostpital she worked at to ask if there was anything she could do. She said she was just moments from calling 911...it was that bad. I guess any of you that have had the pleasure of finding out what pepper spray is like have a pretty good idea about what this must feel like.
(Mind you , this is the same sister that woke up in the middle of the night to add some eye drops to her dry eyes and ended up squirting contact lens cleaner directly into her left eyball.(that's right squirt, NOT drops). Again, screams of agony. The tissue surrounding her eye swelled up as if she were a prize-fighter.)
