OK, I found my answers in the forum. I have no idea where I was looking for this info before...(probably blind after fighting with a non-functioning emulation for hours...) Thanks for the responses anyway!
Guess I can't use the hard keys L+R to switch between Device and Macro in order to simulate a "back" button. Just as I thought it was such a neat solution....
