"no highs, no lows, must be..."

The 28 is problematical at best. You will never be able to control all of the basic functions of the average system with their remote. You will need 2 at least.

There are no component inputs and not enough of the others on the receiver. The only plus the system has going for it are matched speakers. Waste of money, waste of time installing and attempting to program. You'll need an MX-850 and a box of bandaids just to "make" it seem like a nice system.

If you like the Bose look, go with the AM-15's (just the speakers & powered sub). They can be made to sound "acceptable". The Yamaha would be my first choice for the receiver w/an MX-850 remote.

Sweet system, oex - the choice seems clear when comparing a 20mm canon to a squirt gun.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..
