In response to Mike, way up there in the thread, about the suede-like finish: I also just purchased the 1994 here in Ottawa, Canada. And I had seen all the new units at a Radio Shack in Watertown, N.Y. the weekend of April 15. At least one of them had the suedey finish; I don't remember if it was the 1994 or a smaller 4-in-1. In any case, the 1994 I bought here is slippery, not suede.

Thanks to all those who pointed out that this unit is entirely programmable. With the extra labelled buttons, this remote is a much more useable tool than the previous model from RS.
