Most DVD players will come on when you press the play button. If your Pioneer does this, then substitute the play button for the power button.
If the macro works with a learned power command but not with the programmed power command, as you said in another thread, just use the learned command. Teach it to any unused key (you can take any screen you are not using and use it to learn buttons like this to be used in macros), and put that key in the macro.
We usually see the power command problem when turning the component off, and then it turns on again, but this is the first time I remember seeing it turn on and then off. Sometimes it is just the command itself, sometimes it is the way the macro is loaded.
