The RC2000MKII does have a wider frequency than the original RC2000 did. Several companies sell this remote and it is widely available but I got mine from Douglas TV, a local store in the Chicago area. I believe that www.abcstereo.com has them for $199.00 and so do several other mail order places.

Still love the remote a lot!!!
