Hitting the reset button, like on any computer, has solved some of the problems I've experienced with Pronto. Sometimes the hard buttons for volume up and down and channel change won't respond unless the Pronto screen is lighted. Hit the reset, and, voila the buttons light up and respond independent of the screen light.
