It doesn't look like ProntoEdit will be able to correct a corrupted file, but you will be able to back up working copies in case one should ever "break".
Now I think of it, when I first tried the Pronto I had a little glitch where the "7" button on my VCR's tuner sometimes sent out "9". No, I wasn't miss-pressing, but the problem hasn't occurred since I re-programmed that button.
I haven't had any problems in *quite* a long time now.
