At one point Stuart Allen had posted the Java source code on Github for a project called Tonto. This was a replacement for TouchScreenSetup and ProntoEdit. It would also download firmware, IIRC.
That being said, that could likely easily be ported to a later Java as the Classic Prontos just used serial port libraries. However, for ProntoEditNG/ProntoEditProNG, use USB (NG remote line required custom driver for the TSU7000/7500 and used HID for the TSU3000/3500) so that would be more difficult.
