I will NEVER install active HDMI cables! And I think anyone that does, really isn't thinking it thru.
I love Metra products but I really wish they would stop with those cables. Focus on fiber extenders that can be swapped in the future for service and/or upgrades. Or at least make it so I can cut the end off those cables and re-terminate a standard fiber connector on it.

That's what the conduit is for. Active cable stops working, you can pull whatever TF you want. I have 4K versions of active fiber HDMI cables with over 5 years of problem free service.
