There are no lens options for the NP-5 or any of the JVC projectors. The max screen size you can go is ~108x61 or a 124" diagonal in 16:9. For 2.35 material you have to watch with black bars on top and bottom.

There is another solution but of course it costs more. If you add an anamorphic lens you would keep the same 61" height for the screen but you could use a 2.35/2.4 screen ~143x61 or 155 diagonal. You can often find good lenses on ebay for under $1500 where they would be $6000+ new.

Here is one

Hey, what would lines would you guys suggest running to the projector location to be somewhat future proof? Looking at about 35-40 feet to equipment closet.

I always run my prewired cable on the 'outside' of the conduit to the location. Leaving the conduit empty, so I don't run into issues trying to stuff something in it.

As Bob mentioned; Cat6 (a couple of them), a pair of fiber cables (MM w/LC connectors), and a good pre-made HDMI.

One note: Not sure about where Bob's at but for us, getting a 2" PVC conduit in on most homes doesn't work.
Building code in the US =
Non-load bearing 2x4 no larger than 2 1/8" hole. 2x6 no larger than 3 1/4".
For load bearing 2x4 no larger than 1 3/8" hole. 2x6 no larger than 2 1/4".

Sometimes a 1" conduit is all we can install and pass code. Most times we can get a 1.5" PVC conduit in. Rare we have a 2x6 header we can drop a 2" down.

Now if you are talking metal thinwall conduit, you can drill holes for a 2" in a 2x4 non-load bearing. I don't have any experience with metal conduit, not needed for LV in our area (or most HV either except commercial).

Largest conduit you can get from a to b, 2 cat6, and one of these:

All these people that keep suggesting "Active" HDMI cables. Let me ask you: what the f^ do you do when the electronics go bad or becomes incompatible with future standards?

I will NEVER install active HDMI cables! And I think anyone that does, really isn't thinking it thru.
I love Metra products but I really wish they would stop with those cables. Focus on fiber extenders that can be swapped in the future for service and/or upgrades. Or at least make it so I can cut the end off those cables and re-terminate a standard fiber connector on it.

That's what the conduit is for. Active cable stops working, you can pull whatever TF you want. I have 4K versions of active fiber HDMI cables with over 5 years of problem free service.

We only run Cat6a Shielded for video now. Put personally, a couple of Cat5s, a couple of cat6s, a couple of fiber, and a big empty conduit for future use.

We are based out of MA but cover other NE states. Yes, code doesn't allow 2" conduit in 2x4s but OK in ceiling and 2x6. 1.5" is fine if you can't use 2". If possible, run separate cables as well.

These days I run a 1.25" Carlon conduit and nothing else to a projector. I can't think of any time in the last 5 years that I've run more than a fibre HDMI and a couple of Cat6 through that. Even at that diameter, pulling wire through is a breeze.

I don’t know why this wouldn’t be every integrators “go-to”. Pull whatever hdmi cable (I would pull AV Pro or Ethereal active fiber hdmi) you want to at the time of trim out. Personally I pull 1.5” Carlton. And a couple of Cat 6 in addition at rough in. Maybe a RG6 too. But definitely a conduit and pull the hdmi through the conduit at the trim out phase. If that becomes obsolete 5 years down the road pull out the hdmi and replace it
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

First; Thank you for including Ethereal in your recommendation.
Now an addendum to your list.
When running a Cat/ cable make it at least 70' in length (20 meters is the minimum length for HDBaseT installs).
Also, yes pull coax, we can now (or at least very shortly) support 4K/HDR on a single coax cable (with BNC terminations) at lengths from 35' to several hundred feet.

PS: Pull PJ power back to your rack and trim the Romex cable out with our IEC-WP, this will get your PJ onto the same surge protection (our Big Dog is a good choice) as your rack.

Brent is, as usual, spot on re power recommendation. Having the display on the same conditioned power as the source makes a ton of sense. I'd have sparky do that part...
