All these people that keep suggesting "Active" HDMI cables. Let me ask you: what the f^ do you do when the electronics go bad or becomes incompatible with future standards?

I will NEVER install active HDMI cables! And I think anyone that does, really isn't thinking it thru.
I love Metra products but I really wish they would stop with those cables. Focus on fiber extenders that can be swapped in the future for service and/or upgrades. Or at least make it so I can cut the end off those cables and re-terminate a standard fiber connector on it.
