How many unique remote/FireStick combinations are available?
I’d prefer a control system. We installed multiple TV’s in a club and their gaggle of ‘experts’ vetoed a control a control system. They now have a drawer of remotes, each labeled for a TV and the staff must deal with each TV individually. This is not my idea of fun. Plus, the ON command tends to be universal, requiring that IR power commands be guided to the desired TV. This is complicated by the cable boxes dedicated to each TV. Cable box updates might disable the cable box remote pairing and TV’s tuned to the same channel don’t stay synced.
There is also a problem with guests bringing a TV remote from home or discovering the club’s drawer of remotes and installing a private App on a TV. In addition to confusing the staff, this also exposes the club to potential public display of intellectual property spats.
