Thank you Brett! My Disty actually sells both. He also felt the JVC had a slight PQ edge but is slightly more money. The Sony (afaik) has direct IR, IP and RS 232 control. I don’t think the jvc has direct IR (must use an emitter) but I know it has rs232. Not sure if it supports IP control
Control will be RTI and I’m told there are IR and 232 drivers in the RTI database
I realize that I am an old man, and somewhat stuck in my ways... but, I am an IR fan (secondly RS232). IR works great on the Sony, there is no command lag, and you do not have to worry about network traffic causing lags. RS 232 is great for the same reason, but IR connections are usually easier.
