The non-pro Eero 6 will work just fine and have the extra ethernet port, so it's more flexible than the Beacon but the EERO website shows that they're having a sale through Sept 23- they show the Extender at $79, with the discount. If the house doesn't have phone jacks that were installed in the last 30 years, I'm not sure the signal will pass through the walls, though. If it does, you could re-purpose them for network if your network head end is close enough (and accessible for cabling to the phone demarc) .
