Slight derail - sorry. I'm about to buy a GoPro and was going to get the Hero silver. Plan to use it to record trolling/fishing with this:

The black allows you to change the video capture from “wide angle,” which is what causes the “fish eye” effect. You used to be able to change it in the GoPro editing software, which sucked, and is now completely different. The black is the only model that allows you to set the field of view
