I was reluctant to move toward the ProControl series, but I checked it out, bought an R and a Z for beta testing (my wife).

I've brought home all kinds of remotes to her over the last 15 years.  She has said on more than one occasion that the ProControl is the best remote I've ever brought home.

What's her favorite? I've never done a Pro Control and I've got a client with a system that's just a TV, a cable box, a Blu-ray player, and an AVR. That's just the eensiest bit more than any of the factory remotes can handle. And he says not to let his wife touch the remote, as she's the kiss of death to it. (That's because he had me program his other system's Yamaha remote to do everything, a truly scary and bad idea, as so many buttons must do things that they are not labeled for.)

So, faves for the simple client?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
