I'd say it is better but not fixed (TSU9600 V7.4.22-1.5.20).
I actually thought my TSU9600 was broken and purchased another just before the whole Pronto website / discontinued / etc. ruckus broke out. Because of that I'm saving the other TSU9600 "just in case".
I did test it and it didn't seem to exhibit the problem, even with older firmware. The unit I use has the wheel with little nubs, while the spare looks more like gear teeth (IIRC; it's in storage at the moment).
