Okay, so these product announcements may not actually be new (the hardware was originally announced before CEDIA 2013), but of greater importance is the news that they’re now available to buy. Well, almost – rumor is shipments are currently constrained, but that will be getting better soon.

A new wand-style, handheld remote, the TRC-1080, features a vivid 2-inch color high-resolution screen with backlit LCD, sleek ergonomic design and a stylish piano black tabletop charging cradle.
“It’s a feature-packed remote with live video capability, customization galore and just the right number of buttons including the four colored cable box buttons, our customers can enjoy fast access to every function and explore any interactive service available to them,” Toomey continued. “The new TRC-1080 fits in the lineup between the TRC-780 and the super-popular TRC-1280.”
Already boasting compatibility with major models from several popular brands (Axis, Channel Vision, ICRealtime, Panasonic and Wirepath Surveillance) URC today announced compatibility with LILIN IP Video Cameras. LILIN’s top-of-the-line products allow users to view HD IP footage at up to a 30FPS recording speed. With a range of camera models from bullet to dome, vari-focal to fixed lens, standard to vandal-proof and more, LILIN has cameras to suit almost any application. Users can gain peace of mind by viewing their surveillance cameras live from any URC Total Control touch panel, Wi-Fi based remote control, or a smartphone or tablet within the commercial or residential premises. If cameras connected to the URC system have PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) capabilities, then users can control these features as well by simply selecting the virtual joystick commands from the URC devices.
All cloud-based operations to end within four years.
