I think power-crazy mods are limited to the CI lounge.

Its what happens when, after a few alterations, the cables aren't dressed tidily.

This and the other twin thread are really the threads that never die.
It is really amazing how indignant people who buy goods that they think are stolen get when the items are misrepresented. It certainly serves them right.
28 years ago I was working in a industrial complex in Torrance, Calif when - guess what - a couple of guys in a white van who were trying to sell speakers came around. I was not interested so don't remember their exact story. I think maybe their truck was loaded with an extra pair or some such story. So this type of operation is not exactly new.
The part of these stories that I don't understand from so many of the bozos who think they have been swindled is so many of them are missing a remote that seems to be needed to operate the speakers.
What is that all about?

JFiSC, The remote is required by some of the systems that contain a receiver built into the subwoofer to run them. Kind of like glorified computer speakers with inputs but no controls except the remote.
As stated in an earlier post (588), i have no sympathy for the buyers of these things either.
