I guess guys, but I would still like to see how these systems compare with some of the name brand. It sounds like some of the white van guys feel that they have quality products while others feel pretty shady about the whole situation. It could merely be that these companies have not broken through the proverbial door into the maistream market place. Maybe their stuff is crap, we can assume it has all of the sound quality of a can plugged into a wall outlet, or we can be a bit more open minded about how difficult the market can be. Companies are always trying to figure out ways to get their products to consumers, some just dont make the best choices.

I just ran into the same problem with in Riverside, CA area. I am not a typical dumb ass, but they sure got me. I got them for $190 and keep trying to haggle him down a bit lower. I believe this is a major scam as it used a lot of pressure to the person to buy a false advertised product. The speakers are not bad at all but using such false method to sell it is scam indeed. I want to know the true value of these speakers as I am putting them into some good use. I got the Kirsch K-3 speakers. They use the same exact methods, to convince you with ads and use great pressure to make you buy it. A typical person would want to buy and resell knowing the value is a lot more. If I was only a lot more clever as usual, I would've caught these losers.

Was in a local "Cash Converters" store yesterday and came across several sets of speakers that have been referenced in this forum. I always check out anything that I buy before doing so. I did not buy either set - but I am curious to find out what is inside of these speakers after all of this discussiion. They were both listed at <$25 - so the out-of-pocket expenses would not be exhorbitant. What do you folks think - should I buy them and dissect them and report the findings back to the forum?

HEY KYLE I AM CLARKE MIRKOVICH. THE COST OF YOUR L6 SPEAKERS
IS $220 WHICH IN FACT IS WHAT I PAID FOR MINE, AND AGREE
WITH YOU THAT THEY SOUND GOOD!

WHAT I AM HAVING A REAL CONCERN OVER IS YOU, AND WHAT
IT WAS YOU HOPED TO ACCOMPLISH BY POSTING MY PRIVATE AND
PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHOUT MY CONSENT(DRIVERS LICENSE
#). YOU HAVE COMPROMISED BOTH MY PRIVACY RIGHTS AND SECURITY.
I AM ASKING YOU TO IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THIS INFORMATION
AND REALIZE THE CONSEQUENCES YOU MAY HAVE CAUSED BY LISTING
SAID INFORMATION, AGAIN WITHOUT MY CONSENT!

YOU, IN GOOD FAITH PURCHASED THESE SPEAKERS AND HAVE SAID
THEY SOUND GOOD. YOU ASKED ME IF THEY WERE STOLEN; AND
I IN GOOD FAITH ALLOWED YOU TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY WITH
MY DRIVERS LICENSE AND THE YELLOW COPY OF MY PROOF OWNERSHIP/EMPLOYMENT.
IN NO WAY DID I AUTHORIZE YOU TO POST ANY OF MY PERSONAL
INFORMATION ANYWHERE! TO WHAT END YOU HAVE DONE SO IS
UNCLEAR AND OF GREAT CONCERN. THE SALE OF THESE SPEAKERS
IS ACKNOWLEDGED BY BOTH OF US AND CONSTITUTES A FULLY
LEGAL SALE! I MAY CONSULT AN ATTORNEY AND APPROPRIATE
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS WHO MAY INDEED CONCUR THAT WHAT
YOU HAVE TAKEN THE LIBERTY TO MAKE PUBLIC
IS RECKLESS AND SUSPECT, AGAIN, TO WHAT I BELIEVE IS A
VIOLATION OF MY PRIVACY RIGHT AND SECURITY. WITH IDENTITY
THEFT OCCURING AT RECORD RATES
I FEEL COMPELLED TO ASK YOU TO REMOVE THIS INFO IMMEDIATELY,
AND AM CONSIDERING CONSULTATION THAT WOULD INDICATE TO
ME WHETHER OR NOT YOUR DIVULGANCE OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION
IS ACTIONABLE. WHY DID YOU DO THIS?

does anybody have any pics of these speakers? Not just pics from the sites, but real pics of the speakers that they bought, just curious because back in 94 i did that job for about two to three weeks "I was a speaker guy in the white van"
talk about some freaks, i think i was the only one that did not have a record
they are some pretty good cons
but the main reason i am posting this is because of what they look like now
for i have never been approached by the guys, and i live in houston
the speakers that we sold looked like something that you could see in a bar,
they were three way towers about 3½ feet tall, with waffle style car speaker covers
and covered with grey felt or carpet like material
from the pics that i have seen online, they look like decent speakers
oh yea, the speakers were actually cheap ass "ultimate" brand car speakers,
like the brand that you could find in the pawn shops for super cheap
and they painted them flat black, but if you looked close enough you could see the
ultimate name on the dust cap
and yes it is a big freaking scam
that is why i did it for only 2 to 3 weeks
I found that i had a conscience, we sold a set to this couple that just came from his dads funeral and he got took for 200 bucks and a radar detector, and a nice camera

so if you see these guys and you have nothing better to do
pull over with act very interested, whip out your cell phone "secretly of course"
call the cops and take a long time to do this
so you can waste there peak selling time
and you will break there selling streak if they were on one
and cost them valuable time and effort
i dont know if any of you have been in sells jobs
but when you are on a roll you are hot and can sell anything to anyone
but break the ice and you can't sell a glass of water to people in hell

so if you got ripped then sorry but i have to laugh at you
hahaha
dont but sheite from dudes in a van, you big dummy
if its too good to be true then -- come on you've all heard this before

look it up online search around if you have never heard of the brand before

hey if you bought some, then you have a great gift for some one that you dont really
care for, that way it is not a total loss

I just met up with these 2 guys I bought the L8ti for
$220. that are in a Yellow Ford F250. same mo. I found
a website for the product http://www.theaterlogichomecinema.com/
I haven't had a chance to check it out, but i hope it's
decent. I knew I was taking a risk, but $220 for a 5.1
surround sound isn't that bad... unless it doesn't work.
I just bought a theaterlogic home theater system. and i dont have a remote control for it. Oh its an l8ti. the system works but it cant be controlled without the remote.

Seems it's hard to find the point. Maybe it needs to be enlarged.
