I just fell for the scam yesterday. Same story. 2 guys in a tahoe were hangin out by the bank n asked me if I wanted to buy some speakers.... I bought the L8ti for $350. This was in Colorado Springs CO. They said they were from Denver.... It sounds like this scam is spreading around everywhere.

I live in rocklin and got had by THREE gentlemen in a silver SUC Durango maybe?? The guy was a SMOOTH talker..I considered that it could be a scam but the kids doing it didnt look like crooks..They flagged me down coming home from school. I was gonna resell it..but I got ripped off...Anyway, more importantly, I saw TWO DIFFERENT guys in the Galleria Mall in an SUV trying to pull the same scam on me and my buddy..I knew what was up and told them to piss off.

so i just got scammed out of $400 by these 2 people at a mcdonalds in the galleria (off post oak blvd) in Houston. a guy and a girl driving a black truck/suv type truck. same deal; showed me the magazine from march 2006 and the sheet saying they had 2 extra ones given them to deliver. so, after reading all these posts, am i correct in assuming that the system is worth $90 and that the only way for them to work is to have the DVD player with the 6 outputs?

I'm talking about the Theater Logic L6 system.

god it pisses me off to get scammed by these losers. I am such a huge idiot. I called the numbers on his card and just get a voicemail that seems to be a clip from the Godfather. The card says his name is Christian Powell, if that's even his real name. watch out anyone in the area

The amusing thing is they even look cheap and nasty, yet there seems to be no shortage of punters thinking they're getting a good deal.

Yo...... LOOK PEOPLE... Kirsch makes great speakers .. wtf do you think it costs Sony,HarmanKardon, or Yamaha,to make there stuff CHEAP!!! I have worked for many electronic retail stores and you would not belive what the store pays cost for um. But dumbasses go to BestBuy or CircuitCity an pay 600 700 up to 2000 for sum sh*t ! the ppl that sell you these kirsch speakers "WORKS" for a "COMPANY" that buys them wholesale for about $260 flat... and goes out an make sum lame ass excuse about this guy messed up or we have too many.. fu*k all that... we know there bnullsh*tin ......ITS A SALES PITCH..ITS %100 LEGAL You go to any high end store and pay $500 for a nice sony all in one system plus speaker wire plus a 2yr or 3 yr warranty plan about $150 to $250 bucks... if ppl sell um to you for under 260 its because there is a bonus for the 1st van back empty.. BUT.. they have to pay the difference at the end of the week... so if u got one for $180 the driver and helper pay $80 if they dont make it up in other sales.... Car Dealers go to auctions and get cars for $3000 $4000 bucks and sell it for $10,000 if you guys wanna be mad at someone... there ya go..

How do i know all this?
Because i own a warehouse ;)
Were not bad ppl

All my guys own a set and we stand by them

It's legal, but it's a scam.

I guess I can't comment because I've never heard them, but I'm sure they would not be to my liking.

And who EVER said Sony, HK, or Yamaha makes good speakers? Usually they do make pretty bad speakers.

Oh I would dearly love to say that's because you can't sell them, but alas these threads prove otherwise.

i don't think it's 100% legal to have fake websites and fake magazines that show a going price of an item that is 1000% to 2000% inflated over the actual cost people are selling them for, be it on the street or wherever else these two kinds of speakers are sold; but from what i can tell, they are only sold to scammers.

Not to be in defense of the guy, but then why is it legal for Bose to sell $50 speakers at $2000?
