I bought mine on eBay for $102.50 + $10 shipping, delivered today. I just kept bidding on "No Reserve" items until I won one. My maximum was actually $105. I was determined not to pay more than $115 delivered and it finally paid off.

Add another 'ditto' for aaxes.com. $113.95 tax, title, tip, delivery, everything. Customer Service was outstanding! I had a question, asked them to call me, and (hold onto your hats!) - they actually called me first thing the next morning! AND - then followed up by email! 5 stars for these folks for customer service and the price!

One of the latest best prices on this remote appears to be from Aaxes. I don't know how reliable they are, but the remote is priced at $113.95 - with free shipping. [Link: aaxes.net]

Unfortunately, BHPhotoVideo.com now wants $109.95 plus shipping for the remote. Their prices are pretty good for the shipping - about $7.95 for FedEx 3-day shipping for me. However, when they were selling them for $99.95, that was a real sweet price. ;)

Just popping back in here to plug Aaxes.net. I had a couple of questions to ask them before making the purchase. I received responses back to my E-mail requests within minutes.
Aaxes.net uses Airborne at the moment for their ground shipping.
Having quite a positive response about this company after hearing from some other consumers who also purchaed from this company, I hit the order button today.
Now, I just need to wait about 4 days for it to arrive - I'm too cheap to pay another $14.00 to get 2-day shipping.

I'm amazed how everyone on this forum ignores the companies who make it possible for you to come here and have your questions answered, just to save a few bucks. Why not support one of the advertisers on this forum?The Sony AV3000 is $119.95 at www.avsmarts.com, but if you spend another $5 on something else, you get $10 off the total. Also, www.surfremotecontrol.com has the AV3000 for $109.95. It's their advertising dollars that keeps this forum going, not aaxes, Ecost or pcmall. Keep that in mind for your next purchase. Just my 2 cents . . . Tom

Tom, I agree with you 100%. The other thing is that most of these guys are more then just advertisers. Their information has also been invaluable.

I finally broke down and bought an RM-AV3000 from aaxes.com. I checked AVSmarts.com, but they were much more expensive. I paid $120.30 (opted for 2nd business day air because of the holidays). I ordered it on Monday, December 23, at 3:30 PM CST, and got it the next morning at 10 AM. I bought my AV-2100 from e-cost, but aaxes is cheaper (no handling fee), and throws in a one year warranty, which is an additional $19.95 at e-cost.
