With S&H, it comes to $119.58, which I think is the best you can do.

I know we are talking price in the US but I am so surprised to find out today by ringing an official Sony Centre in Nottingham England (where I live) that this model retails here for £199 (US$303.95) there's something really wrong about that seen as the product is Japanese why should British people pay so much more for stuff.

I wondered if anyone knows of a dealer in the US that ships at a reasonable price to the UK. And would I have to pay import duty as well. What would that be? Loads I bet.

Sorry to moan guy's but it's a bit depressing really. You are on to a good thing in the states, really you are.

i just bought that remote for $199 boy do i feel ripped. but it's not that. you see i have this rivalry with my wifes father cause we are both tech geaks. so we buy things to get one up on each other. it's kinda like when he bought his 30 inch sony vega i just hand to go get a 36 inch sony to make him mad but i got it at the same price he paid for his. but right now i'm scoping out the new sony de5se or what ever it is but it's the new one with 7.1 suround sound support just i don't want to pay that $1400 price tag for it any sugestions

Well, I just have to say how INCREDIBLE ecost.com is. Last night, after looking through this forum and seeing the comment by Fernando Castaneda, I decided to purchase the RM-AV3000 (and save $96 over Best Buy's price!). I placed the order online, got an immediate confirmation via email, and dontcha know, the darn thing showed up this morning. How's that for INCREDIBLE service?

Well, NOW I get to spend the rest of the evening working through the alleged crappy manual. Hopefully I can, with forum's help, get this little bugger working and put all five of my remotes away.

Thanks for this website and Forum.

Like psynk, I ordered my remote yesterday and had it delivered today at a great price! Fernando was a big help and I would highly recommend eCost.com!

Fernando,

I am interested in a AV3000 remote. Please email me w/ your best offer. I currently have an AV2000, but now have a new TV room, with an SONY HDTV Widescreen and want to get out of "remote purgatory".

Thanx.

$109.95 (with VISA) GO TO BUY.COM!!

I don't know what you guys think about the recent online shopping trend, such as restocking fees, non-returnable unless defective, extra HANDLING fee which seems to have no reason not to be included in the price which only superficially deflates an advertising price, can't-be-real S&H...etc. etc...

I went back to buy.com where I used to shop often, and, voila, they had the remote.

I'm finally making my long story short, I bought the Sony RM-AV3000 for $109.95. EVERYTHING INCLUDED (they are offering free-delivery). One thing: you have to charge on a visa card to get $10 discount - and find the coupon code for that at PriceBandit.com.

I'm replacing my AV2100 which I dropped and the screen cracked...

I hope this helps!

Another option for those of you looking for a AV-3000. Just purchased one from Aaxes.com for 109.99 + 6.00 s/h. Shipped the day after the order was sent and the standard 3-5 day shipping showed up the day after that. Not bad....

I ordered mine 8/14 from eCost. I had it shipped overnight FedEx and it arrived the next day. The bottom line was $118.18.

I recently bought my remote from buy.com. They had the remote for $119 with free shipping. Searched for coupons and there was a $10 off anything coupon.

Total shipped to my door - $109.95
