Sorry even insignia on their webste says to use the learning mode of your remote because there isn't a preset code for this model in any universal or oem remote.

Heres a tip, go to Kmart, they have the URC UR7-G2 Gamer remote on clearance for $3.50. Its a $40 learning remote, it includes a tv code for insignia, Tv code 350. Which doesn't match mitsubishi, admiral/emerson, or philips codes.

The UR7-G2 is a 7 device learning remote with backlighting, red.

I have the TVCA10221 27". On the remote there is an av button. From my Motorola cable box I have an s-video cable going to the tv, this results in viewing digital cable in s-video on av1. However, I do have a dvd player that I intend to connect with a component video cable to the tv; will this play the dvd on av2? Ok, got it sorted out that the dvd player connects with the ports on the side of the tv to watch dvds on av2. I'll still get a component video cable just to try the rgb connections on the dvd player and the tv. Good thing I still have the manual.

I also have a Insignia TV 23 in. I want to program my cable remote control. I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200 cable box. I need a code so I could use my controler to operate the tv. If any one has an answer please respond.

i have an insignia tv and recently put it in my sons room which left me the problem of programming the remote with the tv. what a pain, but for all of you out there with this problem try and use a jvc code. it worked for mine the first time i put a code in. good luck
