Thank you for the code 0463. It works on my Insignia 32 LCD HD TV and Motorola drc800 remote. I appreciate your work!

0091 works perfectly! This forum is better than calling Insignia technical support. Thanks everyone.

When I bought a remote control from Radio Shack for my father's Insignia television, I could not find Insignia in the TV codes. I was at a Best Buy later that day (in Melbourne, FL) and talked to an associate in the television department. He said, "Oh, Insignia is our brand, made by ..... and we put our name on it." He also told me the manufacturer which I cannot remember. Just last night my sister, who lives with our Mom and Dad, called and wanted to know the manufacturer because she had to replace the batteries and the code was lost. I have called our local Best Buy and two associates I have talked to say that Insignia was manufactured by them (BB) for them... HA! Sorry I don't have the manufacturer, but I'm either going to have to find it on the Internet or call Best Buy corporate or just get someone intelligent.
I have no idea what you want here.

The original remote for Insignia TV models IS-EDPLTV42 and IS-HDPLTV42 was made in China by Hisense. The original remote model is HYDFSR-A205EG. The Universal Remote Control User's Manual can be found at [Link: remotes.com] under Hisense model HYDFSR-A205E. These ARE NOT universal remote codes. These are the "extra" codes that the manufacturer put into the original remote for your convenience to run basic functions of common components. So far as of Jan 29, 2007, I have not found a universal remote that can work with Insignia TV models IS-EDPLTV42 and IS-HDPLTV42. These 2 models use the same kind of remote. The following site [Link: insignia-products.com] lists these two models as Unknown - Not learnable. Bestbuy and Futureshop sell the original remote, model # HYDFSR-A205EG. See website [Link: bestbuy.partsearch.com] Cost 34.95 USD
[Link: futureshop.partsearch.com] Cost 62.00 CAD
It sucks you can't use a universal remote. Hope somebody can figure out a way to make it work.
It really sucks in a year and half, I have been to FutureShop for replacing the remote twice already. Now they told me it will take about 4 to 6 weeks for the broken down remote to be tested and fixed. Let me know if somebody has found a solution.

One for All URC R5 manual lists code 350 for Insignia. If anybody suceeds in using this remote to work with Insignia IS-EDPLTV42 or IS-HDPLTV42, please post so that we can share.

I have just spent about 3 hours trying to program a Cable remote (Atlas type) to work with an Insignia NS-H2001. This rather cheap piece of epuipment is a home-theater/DVD player.

I tried using the 9-9-0 and the 9-9-1 code-finding method with no avail. When I used the code-finder on the remote, I got a response of 0717 for the code however it does not work. I even called the Insignia support line, twice, because I didn't believe what the first person had told me.

My question is....
Is it possible that this piece of epuipment does not have a programing code of any kind and that only the remote that came with this equipment will work?

That is what both of those support people from, India I think, told me.

I did notice that some of the earlier posts on this Thread, while looking for a code for their TV's, had to push the up-channel button a couple of hundred times before they found there actual code. I was just trying to save my fingers from getting cramps from pushing the buttons so many times.

Any information on this would be very helpful

Thanks

-Added note-
(Tried the 9-9-0 again, this time it indicated that the code was 0869. I think that my new cable remote is just as confused as I am now)

I can tell from looking at
the manual that this is also a UEI remote and it includes
the TV/0463 code, and this code is listed under "Sansui"
as hinted in that thread.

For others that find this thread via a search, if your
remote is a UEI remote, try the TV/0463 code. Alternatively,
if your remote has a code search function, give that a
try as the Insignia's seem to be re-badged versions of
other brand TVs, so the chances of you finding a code
are pretty good.

I just want to say, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! 0463 just worked for me on my 2 year old Insignia TV used with Motorola Cable Box. The Cable Guy programmed it when he installed the cable, but the code was lost when the batteries went bad, and I didn't have the time or patience to code search 9,999 (or more?) codes. Gob Bless you people!

I was also looking for a code for my insignia tv (model IS-TVCA102212) bought at Best Buy for a bel expresvu remote (not sure of brand). I called the insignia help number included with the user guide. The help desk was very helpful in locating a universal code for me to use (unfortunately, the code was not supported on my remote) However, I was told that the following remotes do support insignia codes (at least for my model number -- Emerson, Sylvania, Venith, Memorex, Sansui, Orian, and Mitsibishi. If you have one of these brands of remotes you might want to try calling the Insignia help desk at 1-877-467-4289. In addition, my remote takes 3 digit codes. The only 3 digit codes (for my model of T.V. -- model IS-TVCA102212) are: 135 and 115 -- you might want to try these if your remote accepts 3 digit codes. Again, try the help desk, they were very helpful in explaining which remotes support which models of TV and have the codes available.

Anyone have any luck on the NS-27HTV. I got BestBuy to give me a Insignia Remote that partially worked for this tv, but only for power and volume. It was a floor display so it is all they had. I have a DishNetwork EchoStart 5.3 if that helps, or if anyone can confirm a universal that works (within a certain price range) I will purchase it. Thanks if advance. BTW Mitsubishi, Emerson, Philip's did not work.
