... I can't
really see the difference between pressing a hard or a
soft button.

The big difference is that with a hard button you don't need to look at the remote once your finger is on it, so you can easily press it multiple times. This also applies to the 'soft' buttons on previous Harmony remotes, where the labels were soft but the buttons were hard.

With a touch-screen button, you must press in the right place each time - there's no tactile feedback to tell you where you are, so you have to continually look at the remote to avoid pressing the other touch-sensitive buttons or paging the screen. This is a major pain when you're scrolling through your favourite channels on Sky, for example.

So basically, touch-screen buttons are only good for single-press operations.

I having some problem with buttons not showing up correctly.
In my "Play Xbox 360" activity I have the X, B, A, Y buttons
with associated color buttons but the DO NOT show up when
I go to the Xbox 360 device mode.

Can someone confirm that yours is the same?

Yes, I can confirm it and this is the case for all activities and devices. I sent a message to Logitech at their website about it and suggest you do the same. IT seems kin dof silly for the device and activity not to be consistent.

I just got mine yesterday and was amazed. Quite the upgrade from my old Harmony 688...I love how it wakes up when you pick it up. The only thing so far I don't like about it is you cannot use it docked. My Pronto would work when on the docking station and for the most part I would use it that way, like in the morning hit "watch TV" and it would do it's thing, now I have to pick it up..You would think they would have a setting for that but it's a small b*tch for the wonderful quality and ease of use..Bravo, Logitech!

Hi All,

Just seen another voucher for the Harmony One. I'm now using this device and loving it. Go to Play.com and enter PLAYHARM30 at checkout. Hey presto - only £69. Valid until May 25th or whilst stock lasts
