Hi,

I like the idea of using this mod, it's much better then the standalone app from Logitech. Unfortunately I have the problem which I cannot resolve by myself. I can make all the changes but when I try to update my remote by pressing 'update my remote' it passes below steps.

1. Examining your settings (complete).
2. Queuing request...
3. Search for Updated Information.
4. Compress for Transfer.

than the update file is downloaded, it's open by Remote Control Software which goes as far as 'initialize remote control' and then displays the following error message
'This configuration file is not compatible with your harmony remote'. When I update using the standalone software everything works fine.
I use Firefox 2.0 and I installed the hugbug's extension. Anyone can help ??
Thanks

I don't know if this has to do with FF 2.0 or if Logitech changed something about how their website works, but when you select the Button Actions link on the home page and make changes, those changes are not saved when you click Done. If you go in through the normal method (Customize -> Change the behavior of buttons) the changes are saved. I'm assuming this is because there is some information missing for the URL generated for the Button Actions link that is generated by this add-on.

Great for getting commands in a sensible order.

However since installing it I now frequently get the following error when trying to lean a new ir command from the existing remote:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
Object required: 'Session(...)'
/EasyZapper/New/Downloader/AutoLaunch_Refresh.asp, line 9

It happens after I've pressed the button on the existing remote.

May be coincidence, and nothing to do with the Harmony Mod.

I can get around it by using the Harmony client software to learn the new command, then go back to the web config program to tidy things up.

(using FF 1.5.0.8)

Checked it under Firefox 2.0 (latest version available) and at the "Add-ons" box, Harmony Mod 1.1 NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FIREFOX 2.0.

Is there a more recent version or still (yet) to be killed bug ?
Otherwise I'm ready to program my Harmony.

By the way, if I go back to the "Add-ons" and look for updates, the Harmony Mod states that a compatibility update has been applied.
However when I re-start Firefox, it goes back to it not being compatible with Firefox 2.0.

Hi,

I have just checked it again:
1) delete old Firefox;
2) delete old Firefox Profiles from C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla
3) download and install the latest english version from a link at www.mozilla.com (firefox.exe from 11 oct. 2006);
4) open page [Link: addons.mozilla.org] and install add-on;
5) restart Firefox;
Add-on works.

May be your old profiles make problems. Could you please reinstall Firefox according these steps?

Best Regards,
hugbug.

Did Logitech break your Mod?
I installed in Firefox 2 and I get the new feature in the home page but no re-ordering arrows for any buttons. The only way I see to re-order is to delete & retype the button commands in the new location. What a pain.
Is this unique to my install or is something broken now w/ the new site/ SW?

Thanks,

Scotty63
So, how do civilians do this stuff?

Reording of buttons does not work with new site.
The mod have to be adjusted.
I'll drop here a message, as soon as it is ready.

Completed.
Please download the new version from a link in the first post. (Also read it, the feature list was changed.)

It takes several weeks for the new version to appear at Mozilla's site (because of approval process).

Hugbug ... I found a problem with the current version of the Harmony Mod (using Firefox 2.0.0.2).

If you leave the web page open to the Button Options page for a short time without interacting with it, a second set of UP/DOWN arrows will appear next to the original set of UP/DOWN arrows added by the mod. Keep the page open even longer, and new sets of UP/DOWN arrows just keep getting added.

Worse than that, though, is if you've taken the time to rearrange buttons, when the bug hits the page is refreshed and reverts the buttons back to their previous locations and you need to start rearranging all over again.

Any way to have the modification check to see if the Harmony Mod was already applied to the page, so it won't keep customizing the page?

Hi drew2k1,

the bug occurs, if a page from another tab finish loading and the harmony page is active on this time. The mod thinks, that the current page (harmony-page) was loaded and reprocess it again.

A simple workaround is to not open another tabs in a window, where you adjust your config. To browse web in the same time just open a second Firefox window.

Best Regards,
hugbug.

I understand what you're saying when I think about how the mod is checking the URL to see if it's the Harmony page, and whenever another tab refreshes/loads, this is why the Harmony page ends up being updated again.

In the future, I'll work in a stand-alone Firefox window when I update my Harmony remote. It's simple!

Thanks hugbug.
