hugbug,
What a brilliant concept! And it works like a breeze.
I wonder what other mods we can add to make the Harmony Web Config even easier.
Good work.

I installed the plugin into Firefox 1.5.0.3, and it works exactly as described.
The problem is, after rearranging the custom buttons in the desired order, they revert back to the default order when the data is downloaded to the H800. They also revert back to the default order next time the "customize buttons" screen is open.
By default I mean that custom buttons attached to the first device ( i.e. the first column) appear first, and then buttons attached to the second device appear next, and so on.
Am I doing something wrong?

mitch1138, kidhazy, thanks for reply.
Rick Leb, unfortunately the configuration web server rearranges items in a such way. So you can change order only for items within each device. This cannot be workarounded without modifying server software :(

Thanks for putting the time into developing it. Rick

Hi Everyone,
I'm attempting to add the HarmonyMod plugin to my FireFox browser (Ver 1.5.0.4) for use with my Logitech Harmony 880 and 659 remote controls. I can't get the browser to install it the plugin at all. Every time I attempt to drap the file onto a FireFox browser window I get the message "Software installation is currently disabled. Click Edit Options... to enable it and try again." with the 'Edit Options...' button on the right side of the same yellow bar which contains the above message. I click on the button but there is no way to in the different tabs to change the 'Software installation' settings. I would love to use this feature but it's no good to me if I can't install it. Someone please help?
Downloaded file name: harmonymod-1.0.xpi

Guys... there is only one way that I would ever install a javascript and java-based extension to my SAFE Firefox, and that is via a signed file from the Mozilla/Firefox certified list of extensions or add-ons.
It is quite easy and straightforward for a developer to get their code into there. I am not suggesting that hugbug has any malicious intent with this code, but I, for one, would CAUTION ANYONE to NOT install code that you do not know anything about.
This code comes from someone unknown, who has made only two posts on this site, and the code is not available as signed code. It is not a signed Firefox extension on the Mozilla site either -- I searched.
The rest is up to you.

I choose to live with knowledge of the unknown... then maybe you should read through the script...as its the "unknown" elements of it that you are fearful of... -dw

And for those of us who throw caution to the wind, and love to support and encourage developments that continue to make using and setting up the Harmony's easier - I say again "well done hugbug".
