I have a setup which I thought would be fairly common but having trouble finding a solution to my problem. Dual LNB Satellite with 2 receivers in the same location (equipment room). Both receivers output multiplexed onto single cable. Remote IR via cable. Everything is fine, but since both receivers are Sony, cannot find a way to control them separately....power off one....sorry....other one powers off also. Any way around this besides changing brands on one of the receivers?

Thanks.....

One is a SAT-T60 (receiver plus Tivo) and the other is a SAT-A65.

The T60 has three codes, and the A65 has two different IR codes. Check your manuals.

The Philips Dtivo has 9 codes, the instructions for changing the codes, are in the Installation guide and not the Viewers Guide.

......doesn't mean it's not in there!

It also wouldn't hurt to:
1) Mention which Remote you have.
2) Post your queries in that Forum.
3) Take a look at the other Posts in this Forum, and consider yourself lucky you even got that much of a straight answer!!!

Oh, and by the way, Al . . . don't go away mad.........

Not mad at all, just glad it can be done! Didn;t mention the remotes because 1) new to this forum and 2) there whatever remotes came with the boxes.
