We told a client who has been making ridiculous changes to a project (an entire hotel, and they're modifying things that have already been built) that they needed to order the several dozen TVs NOW.
It was three months ago that we first said that. Order them. NOW. Get them in. Better to have a container full of TVs than get caught by some bizarre delay that nobody could have planned on.
Yup, they haven't ordered the TVs yet and now they face a months-long wait. Sell them several dozens of these as place holders until the TVs show up. [Link: amazon.com]

I was at Walmart today (ya, I know) and there were parts of the grocery part of the store where there were bare shelves, I never seen that ever before around here, it's really starting to get strange!! All the TP was about gone BTW.

Ive hear about toilet paper shortages. Is that because everyone will be blowing their noses or getting diarrhea?

They were interviewing a shopper whose car was filled with TP. When asked why the shopper responded: "Everyone else was doing it" Thanks god they're not suggesting a long walk on a short pier.

As concise as I can make this:
By Chinese New Year we knew they were going to be shortages, it will be the end of April before Factories are back to full strength. Strangely we (Metra/Ethereal) are in good shape, we got a big load in just before CNY.
There is panic due to the mixed messages from world leaders and the market sell off. This should stabilize in the next 2 weeks.
This is more easily spread and is more deadly than the common flu (if) you have a weak immune system, AND are older AND are prone to getting the Flu.
This will cause much absenteeism due to fear and hypochondria, still it is better to err on the side of caution.
Avoid close quarters with stale air, avoid flying if possible, masks are of no value and to your business.

You don’t remember crumpling up paper over and over as a kid and it becoming soft. It will give him something to do while pinching off a loaf.

If any of you know about Audioholics, the founder just posted early this morning that he tested positive for Coronavirus and had symptoms for 7-8 days, after meeting with someone who, as it turns out, had been in China recently. That wasn't disclosed at the time of the meeting. Gene is 46 and feels like crap. He'll be quarantined for 14 days.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

The WuFlu is just getting cranked up in the USA, the best is yet to come.
Around here the gubment keeps the numbers of infected down by not testing anyone.
