I'm waiting for projects to stop rolling in but I did three proposal visits today. One positive thing we have is that if people decide to stay home they will want to upgrade their AV system. We saw this after 911. The economy tanked, yet we went gang busters because people were spending more time at home with heir family. Thus spending money on their AV system.

Look at every obstacle as an opportunity.

Not in y'alls game anymore but I can tell you the impact on my bar/restaurant has been profound and it's still early/relatively new to the US as far as infections go.

we do have a full shutdown plan in place to close the building to the public while providing delivery only service.

I’ve been debating whether it’s in bad taste to run an ad campaign along the lines of: if you’re going to be quarantined, might as well be quarantined with a new TV and surround system so you can binge watch in style while you’re dying on your couch.

Not sure how well that’ll go over

For you guys who have read in great detail, what makes this dramatically different than another virus or the flu? It is highly infectious, older people are in greater danger of death when they get it, you feel crappy for several days before recovering. It sounds typical rather than extraordinary. Tell me more.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

This is from yesterday.  Whether intentional or ill prepared, we will/have drastically underestimated the amount of cases.

Its 10x deadlier then the flu. Unlike the Flu, there is no vaccine and no therapeutics. Thus, nothing like Tamaflu, etc that can help alleviate symptoms and shorten its length and effects. It's Highly contagious. While if you are younger and have no health issues then maybe mild or might be asymptomatic. That is an issue cause you then maybe infecting others and elderly or those with health issues. Because it spreads easily and quickly, without slowing, it can overburden our resources if we don't get a handle on it. Especially for the elderly that will need hospitalization and respirators, for which there is not enough in the US.

This is an excellent summary. I think it’s a major contributing factor that a person can be infected and contagious for 4 to 5 days before showing any symptoms. This thing is going to spread, and spread to a lot of people.

My opinion on this has changed quite a bit since I’ve started doing some real research and hearing some real expert’s takes on things. A month ago I was in the “it’s basically just the flu“ camp, and now I understand why it’s much more serious than that.

We are 10-15 days behind Italy.

The entire health care system will be overrun, staff will be infected, they will be deciding who gets intubated and who doesnt. Italy is seeing many 30-40 year olds in ICU. 60 year olds are not being intubated because they dont have enough units.

The virus hits hard and fast. Don't get caught by the first or 2nd wave and if you do end up in the 2-3% you have a chance at getting an ICU bed.
