It's not all about you. My last post quoted you and finished up a short conversation then I spoke generally as this is an open forum. My point is that ideology is imbued into the history of the Great Recession to continue petty partisan squabbles: case in point, the cause of the Great Recession was the CRA/liberalism/poor people who can't afford loans. Another point I made is that when this easily debunked argument is challenged it changes tangent to a Both Sides fallacy. This is a response to conversations in the thread, not just you. If agree, or not, you can respond, or not.

Another point I'm making in general, not to any one person: anti-government conservatism cloaked in patriotism supports oppressive corporatism and oligarchy. If the playboy capitalists can convince a bunch of you that the problem was government, do gooder liberalism run amock, and poor people, it takes the heat off them. For some reason people are more upset by poor or government moochers, but wealthy moochers don't seem to raise the same ire or response. Why is that?

I don't know any republican voters that gave the corporations a pass on the mortgage crisis. In fact, most said F**K THEM and wanted them to deal with the mess they created. But the democrats kept telling us the banks were too important to let fail. Then Obama asked bush to support the first bail out package and they all agreed to hand over money with no strings attached. We voters had no say in this. So instead of the banks being made to put that money back in circulation and make loans, they paid each other bonuses and stuck the rest back in the market and continued making money for themselves.

Banks should loan money. Investment firms should handle investments. But we were told that other countries don't restrict banks like that and ours couldn't compete on a global economy if they were limited to just banking

I believe he was referring to the medical system. That Obamacare was intended to fail from the beginning so people would willingly accept a socialized medical system. I fully believe this was the plan. For ACA to be a step towards a government run system by bankrupting the current system and putting most a Americans without private coverage.
